January 27 is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Every year on January 27 the world commemorates victims of the Holocaust, one of the worst tragedies to humanity in its history. The resolution on the proclamation of this date as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day was adopted in 2005 by the United Nations. On this day in 1945, the Soviet troops liberated the prisoners of Auschwitz, one of the most terrible and cruel concentration camps.

The Menorah Center along with the international community remembers the Holocaust victims and expresses its respect to those who have managed to survive this terrible catastrophe.
